Wow, over two months of no painting and finally some art. It's hard trying to get back, I feel so rusty. This took much longer than usual to paint and I'm still not to sure about it. So if you have any comments I would be very glad to read them.
EDIT- Made some changes according to some of the great critiques that I received.
Bunch of awesome here. I will say though that I don't like the tangent where the sword overlaps the robot's finger. Also, I wouldn't mind the cropping of the robot hand on the left so much if it were a typical hand but since it's very odd I keep getting drawn to it. Perhaps bring that hand more into frame or make it a more typical shape.

Well, overall, I like it. The layout works, the color composiition's good and the robot looks awesome. Bonus points from me for what appears to be a bicycle chain, of course.
There's a few... uncharacteristic problems, though, and since you asked... my main beef is that it's unclear where the guy's gun arm is pointing. It looks as if the arm points slightly away from the viewer, but the wrist is bent as the gun is shown exactly from the side. And if that's the case, what's he shooting at? I also think more exaggerated foreshortening on this guy would've improved the overall look, i.e. the boots should be bigger and the hand holding the sword smaller.
The way the robot's hands are cropped also seems a bit random. There's just no apparent reason for it other than "canvas ends here".
Basically I'd say the underlying structure of the piece works and the design of the character is good, but there are a few bloopers in the execution.
Um, yeah. I don't recall us ever exchanging extensive criticism and I hope this is what you're looking for, but you did ask.
